House of Cards is an American political thriller web television series created by Beau Willimon. The first 13-episode season premiered on February 1, 2013, on the streaming service Netflix. The series deals with themes of ruthless pragmatism, manipulation, and power. Netflix confirmed that it would be making the sixth and final run. Season six will focus on Robin Wright’s Claire Underwood as the US president as she takes centre-stage.
